CREATING SCENES WITH HOME AUTOMATION

The term SCENES often refers to lighting scenes but can actually incorporate any integrated technologies.

For instance a home automation Entertainment Scene may be programmed to select an audio source for music, to ramp up or ramp down certain lights to pre-set levels, to activate the water feature and to open the gates as guests start to arrive.

Limited only by your imagination, a scene could be any combination of lights, lamps, heating, cooling, blinds or curtains, audio visual equipment, multi room audio, irrigation, pool or spa pumps, water features, garage doors . . .you name it!

Scenes may be modified according to time of day e.g. A switch may activate lighting to 100% during daylight hours, but may then activate the same lights to 80% during the evening, but only to 50% after midnight and before 6 am.

Scenes are convenient ways of setting up pre-determined sequences for simple operation of multiple tasks in virtually every area where lighting control and other automated processes are required, be it residential homes or apartments, offices, factories or warehouses, retail outlets, hotels, hospitals, schools and so on.
